Hi everyone! I am thrilled to introduce myself and to join you all on this board. We just found out today that our incredibly high beta numbers were due to twins! We saw the heartbeats today!
I am still getting used to the news of being pregnant, let alone with multiples. So I was hoping that some of you could share with me your recommendations on where to start in terms of books, DVDs, other websites, magazines, etc. Friends have given me "What to Expect," "Girlfriend's Guide," and "Your Pregnancy Week by Week," but are there any similar "bibles" relating to a twin pregnancy?
Thanks in advance!
- Michelle.
Re: IVF #2 was a BFP, and it's TWINS!!!!
Congratulations and welcome to the board.
The bible for twin pregnancy is Dr. Luke's When you are expecting twins, triplets, etc. It's a great book, but don't let the amount of food she recommends in her diet scare you, just follow the general guidelines.
Pretty much everyone will tell you Dr. Lukes book. But like pp said, only use it as a guide. I didn't eat anywhere near the amount she recommends and my girls were born at good, healthy weights.
Also, look around for local MOM groups. Mine had monthly meetings with new and expectant MOM's.
Congratulations!!!
congrats! Welcome to the club!
I agree w/ the pp and get Dr Luke's book!
This is a great group of ladies and they are going to be a world of support!
Congratulations! I know what you mean about getting used to the news. After DH and I found out we went to lunch and just stared at each other for about twenty minutes. We also wondered if we would ever have children so to be blessed with two - it was a lot of take in.

Definitely look in to your local Moms of Multiples Club. Our group has a special meeting once a month for new and expectant moms. I found that to be endlessly helpful.
