Birth Grandma visit update-She rocks!

Some of you remember we were going to meet the little girl our daughter placed with her forever family. We were all so nervous and it was for nothing! Her parents are simply amazing, she is amazing, the visit was amazing. She wasnt afraid of us or anything.

 When we got there her Aunt was there and shortly after we arrived her Grandparents came to meet us. Such an amazing family. We talked a lot about adoption while our children played with H. 

They asked us what we wanted to be called and we settled for our names. While we are her Grandparents by birth we really don't feel like Grandparents we feel like H's bonus family.  I just feel so blessed to be part of such an amazing group of people (our daughter and the AP)

 

I also found out that the reason our daughter picked them was they made funny faces in one of their pictures. It was neat to hear how the parents were not sure if they should add that picture and really debated it only to find out that picture is why they were chosen! :)

    That's so awesome!! I'm glad it went well! Will you have future visits? How old is your birth granddaughter?

    So glad you had a great visit!  I can tell you that we have a very open adoption, and a great relationship with our son's birth grandmother.  I cannot tell you how much I value that relationship.  I am sure your birth granddaughter's family is thrilled they have now met you.

    I'm so happy for you!  Glad you had a wonderful visit.  We're meeting up with dd's birthmom and her family on Tuesday next week,  and I can't wait.  I look forward to our visits so much :)

    She is 6 months older than our son. So she will be three this summer.

     I think we will see them for a BBQ we are having when our daughter turns 21. 

     

    I realize I used amazing a lot.. lol it really was amazing!
