I'd like to use disposables for the newborn stage-just don't think it's worth investing in cloth for such a short period of time (we're doing g diapers).
Any opinions on brands? Ones that don't irritate skin? That fit small babies well? Ones that don't use that many chemicals?

Re: Best disposable diaper brand?
This. We've used Pampers since DS was born. Huggys leak every time.
Pampers Swaddlers for sure!!! Huggies always leaked with us.
When baby gets to a size 1 or 2...switch over to LUVS...they are great and cheap!!!
I just bought some of these today. Now I just have to wait to try them.
Pampers Swaddlers Sensitive are great for newborns. That's what most hospitals use and ours sends you home with.
We've ended up sticking with Pampers (we CD part time also). I've tried Huggies and Up & Up but have had bad experiences with both. It does depend a lot on your kid and their body shape though.
I like huggies swaddlers or huggies pure and natural. Huggies and pampers newborn diapers have the belly button cut out and most newborn to size 1 or 2 have the wetness lines.
For DS huggies worked best for us, but it depends on the LO and the parents. It doesnt matter how great the diaper is, if you have a little boy and DH has it pointing up on his diaper changes you will get lots of leak outs... (it took me finally watching DH change a daiper to realize why he always had the leak outs.) Also if you have a circ boy, the first few days you put gauze on it, and the gauze has to be completely in the diaper or else it will leak out... - Did i mention DH had never changed a diaper before DS.
