Doppler?

Ok, ladies. Pros/Cons to buying a doppler? If you have one, can you recommend the brand?

    Getting a doppler is the best money I've ever spent. I have the Sonoline B with the 3mhz probe and I got it from fetaldoppler.net for around $50. For me, it's been a huge comfort and I love being able to listen anytime I want to. It also have given me so much peace of mind before appointments--there could always be something wrong, but I don't have that terror of wondering if there will be a HB. All of that said, I've been lucky to hear it from 10w, so I haven't had a situation where it caused me any stress. I know a lot of people can't hear it quite that early or with as much consistency and that can be stressful.

    I highly recommend one!

    I love mine. I tried to be sparing with it. From 12-19 weeks I used it about every other day. But I was quick to listen, make sure heartbeat sounded about right and stop. For me it was a matter of sanity and not just for fun. I never tried before 12 weeks. I would have freaked if I hadn't heard it.

    I have the sonoline B and I love it. Totally worth it, although it is stressful in those early days when you can't find the heartbeat consistantly.
