But the name "man-gagement" ring gives me the heebee jeebees.
There was a story on CBS this morning about them. I'm all for guys wearing a ring to show off their engagement but please please please stop putting "man" in front of everything to create new words.
Re: I don't have a problem with the idea...
Like "MAN-teresting" - the male version of Pintrest.
I like the idea of them wearing a ring, why not? I'm sure my DH would've if I had suggested it.
DH wore his wedding band while we were engaged - his choice.
ITA that man-whatever is ridiculous. Or things like "mecretary" for a man secretary.
Or murse? Silly. I get the idea of them wearing a ring, but yeah.

I actually feel like it's a form of sexism against men to do this. Why can't we call it the same whether it's a man or a woman?
The only word I find amusing in this trend is "manscaping."
He's growing up, but he'll always be my baby!

...big brother to...???? Due March 2014!
That is pretty ridiculous.
I will say, however, that I do like the use of the word "man cold".
DH actually was the one that suggested getting an e-ring because we were going to have 2 year engagement (but changed our date to 8 months sooner) and he wanted one, I guess. When we picked out my wedding band, we exchanged the e-ring for credit towards his wedding band.
man-colds are very different than regular colds though. They are obviously way more severe and extremely debilitating.

It also leave their limbs very weak. Hence we have to get everything for them.
