He sleeps much deeper when he's in his crib. I've turned on the light, touched him, moved him but anytime I pick him up, he wakes up. Also, if it's close to wake up time, he'll wake up to noises at times but for the most part (knock on wood), he's a deep sleeper.
We have a white noise machine for this very reason. The second Henry hears someone up and around he is up. If we open the door to his room, he is up. If we try to move him, he is up. I'm so jealous of people that have babies who can sleep through anything.

It just depends. My husband swears he has bat ears. But I've gone in there in the morning and turned on the light and gotten his clothes and he's still sleeping
DD is a light sleeper. She was a light sleeper from the start. We tried making noise hoping she would get used to it, but she never did. I guess it just depends on the baby/kid. I don't know how the tooth fairy will be able to visit!
If I go in her room during nap or early morning she will wake up. Not sure about the middle of the night, I'm scared to try. She sleeps in the car but won't stay asleep if I move her to her crib. She does go back to sleep 95% of the time in her crib.
Once she gets used to a noise she can sleep through it. A few weeks ago BIL was building a shed outside her window. The 1st day she didn't nap, but every day after that she slept fine.
If he's been asleep for more than an hour or so, the fire alarm can go off, we can go in and pick him up, people can be yelling in our house, the cat can jump in bed with him / walk on him, I can shake him and yell right next to his bed, and he will not stir.
If it's been less time than one hour, we are silent like the grave.
DS is the lightest sleeper ever. We always check on him before we got to bed at night & 9 times out of 10, he wakes up. Granted, he goes back down easily, but still. We even have TWO white noise machines & he still does this. It's kind of ridiculous, but he's always been an incredibly light sleeper.
He's definitely a light sleeper. We were rarely ever able to take advantage of the whole "just let him fall asleep in the infant car seat and carry him around!" Car stopped and he was wide awake. We have to be quiet going to be at night so we don't wake him. ONE time I made the mistake of going in there because it had gotten chilly and I wanted to cover him. We were all up for an hour.
DS is a very light sleeper. I don't even flush the toilet when he's napping for fear of waking him up. Even as a newborn he never stayed asleep in his carrier for a whole trip to the store.

He's a deep sleeper at night but requires total and complete silence during naps. He also naps like shiit, maybe 40 minutes to an hour a day if I'm lucky.
At naptime, he is a very light sleeper. At night for about the first hour he sleeps very lightly and he will wake up if I peek in and check on him. He eventually falls into a deeper sleep, though.

haha - well, I'm glad we are not alone.
We have a white machine and fan. She still wakes up at the drop of a pin. All night long. sigh...
This, exactly.
