I am 16 weeks and looking like I have a massive food gut lol. I am 5'1 and about 120 pounds so I thought I would be showing a baby belly already..not food belly lol
Is anyone in the same boat? or how long did it take to make the transition from looking like you ate the whole buffet to having your baby belly

I personally feel like it's my baby bump and not a food gut. I am 5'5 and started out at 118lb. At my last OB appt, my doc said "What a cute little bump you have!" and I'll be 15 weeks tomorrow.
Maybe it's also the fact that I transitioned into maternity pants/skirts, etc, earlier than most. I'm not down with pinching and stuffing myself into my old clothes. I abhorred the belly band, and the rubber band trick. So, maybe with allowing that it's smoothed everything out looks more like a bump than a muffin top. *shrugs*
I totally get how you feel. I am 19 weeks tomorrow and I just feel like I look fat. I need a belly band for jeans to not just push a gut over my jeans even though I can still get them buttoned--it's just a bit uncomfortable.
I am so excited to get an actual round bump and not just look like I have been over-indulging.

I'm 5'9" and one day shy of 15 weeks and I have the buffet bulge! I can't wear my 'regular' clothes comfortably all day so I've invested in a few maternity things and this helps! While I still get looks now and then at least I feel more confident and comfortable.
I'm hoping to 'pop' soon for my own sanity!!!
I'm definitely showing... a lot at the moment. However I thought I was showing before but a girl who works in my building said to me the other day "oh you finally look pregnant, before you just looked like you were gaining weight" I said "um.. thanks?"
