My DC provider swears by the teething tablets. I've never tried them. I give ibuprofen or tylenol to help her sleep at night. That seems to be when she struggles the most. Aiden always liked to suck on a wet wash cloth or piece of ice, and of course there's infant Orajel.

When Joshua cut his molars we gave tylenol (discovered ibuprofen hypes him up), Infant Orajel on the pacifier, teething ring. We also put the little fruit cups of the mandarin orange slices in the fridge to get cold and let him eat those at snack time. That seemed to soothe his pain.

We give some infant tylenol at night. He also seems to be most affected at night for some reason. He has never really liked chewing on anything except for his finger. Molars stink!

We just got through this. He cut 4 at once and it was miserable. He had a fever of 103 for about a week and was up every night screaming in pain. We used Tylenol and it helped a lot. I've also read that a lot of people use baby motrin. We didn't use our Hylands tablets until the last couple days because I forgot about having them, but I swear that they made a difference. Good luck...
Re: teeth
I'm a big fan of Advil. But then I go through bottles upon bottles of those when the sh*t hits the fan.
In my defense, I can also go weeks without giving any! Mom's gotta do what a mom's gotta do!
