Hello everyone!! Adalyn continues to do well! She is up to 3 pounds 15 ounces (1.775 kg) and may break the 4 pound barrier tonight. She is down to 1.5L of oxygen flow and around 30% oxygen. Depending on how she does with her oxygen flow and her saturations, her MD said that we will be able to try a bottle feed in the next few days. We really want her oxygen flow to be at 1L or less, as well as not be breathing too fast, to try that.
She had her follow-up eye exam for the retinopathy yesterday, and her opthamologist said that, although it is still staged as before, it has gotten better. He said that there was more growth out of the vessels, which is a good thing! He will re-examine her again in 2 weeks to see how she is progressing.
Here's a pic of Adalyn with not 1, not 2, but 3 chins!!! Yay!! I've never been so happy to have such a chunky monkey!
