I got to hold Ryan for the first time today! It was a total surprise. He had just switched to the CPAP yesterday, and I knew once he switched we could do kangaroo care, but I figured they'd wait to make sure he was stable on there. Well, the nurse asked me today if I wanted to hold him, and OF COURSE I did!! He laid on me inside my shirt for an hour and a half, and his sat levels stayed high the entire time. It was such an amazing feeling. Today started out on a low note because I called for my morning update and things didn't sound great. I spent half the morning in tears before I got the brain scan results, and now this! I feel like I've never been so happy! This roller coaster is quite the ride, but I'm glad we're at a really high point today!
Thank you guys for all of the support.  I know I'm new here, but it's so nice to read all of your responses.
I'll try to PIP in here once I get the pics uploaded ![]()

Kangarooing is awesome! The first time that I got to do it, when Adalyn was about 3.5 weeks old, was such an amazing experience!
I'm so glad that you had some pretty good highs today! Stay strong and know that you will be able to make it through the whole ride!
