What about Neve?

Thoughts on Neve? Do you know how to pronounce it by looking at it? An easy to pronounce name is important because our last name looks nothing like it sounds. Also am drawn to short names. Think along the lines of Neve Simone, or Neve Lucille...

    It makes me think of Neve Campbell.  I just don't think there's anything pretty about the sound of it.

    I like it and I know how to pronounce it. Conan O'Brien's daughter is named Neve (his nanny was my client for a while when they were still in New York) and she is the cutest thing!

    I like this name, its pretty common in Ireland as Niamh.  The meaning is lovely too - it means radiant.  The traditional pronunciation is Neev - is that what you wanted or Nev, like Neve Campbell?

    Very pretty. I only know how to pronounce it b/c of Neve Campbell. If it weren't for her I would probably say it with a long e.

    I like Neve. It is easier to figure out as an American than the traiditonal spelling - Niamh. Pretty name. I love Neve Simone.

    If you want Neeve I would go with Niamh.

    I know a girl named this and she pronounces it NEEV. Personally I am not a fan of it at all but that's because I have bad associations with the person that I know with this name. I probably would like it if I didn't dislike this person though.

    Neve could be either - it is either a variant of Niamh - i.e. NEEV, or the Italian Neve NEHV meaning snow.  I'm guessing most people would pronounce it like Neve Campbell, though.

    OK. I know a lot of people in the US pronounce it "Nehv" however, I believe the traditional Irish pronounciation may actually be Niamh
