Lost 15 lbs since early Feb, not I'm stuck!

For the last week, nothing...I know it's a matter of boosting my metabolism, since it's probably gotten comfortable w/ my new diet.....frustrating!  Any tips?  I want to lose about 7 more.

if you're thinner now you need to cut calories more to create a deficit.  the thinner you are.. the less you need to eat to stay the same weight.  if you cut an additional say 300 a day you should see the scale move again.

you can cut 300 calories by eating 300 calories fewer or exercising 300 calories worth more or a combo.

Totally agree with this.  If you are eating the same and doing the same workout you were doing 15lbs ago you aren't going to lose more weight.  Try going on to a website like sparkpeople or loseit and enter your current weight and the weight you want to be along with the goal date.  It will tell you roughly how many calories you need to eat and burn.  If you are already using one of those programs go back & reenter your new weight details.

Congrats on losing 15 so far!!!!  The last bit is always the hardest, but you can do it !!

  • Congrats!  Tweak what you are eating and I bet the rest will slide off!
  • Low-carb is the only way I've been able to not only lose weight, but lose the last 5-10 lbs. and keep them off. I think with fat or calorie-restricted diets, you'll always hit a plateau because you've taught your body to deal with less and it will stop burning fat for you. Eat good amounts of protein and fat, restrict carbs to veggies and full-fat dairy and I bet you money you'll start losing again within 3 days. I would try Atkins, primal or paleo, depending on how much you tend toward dairy or fruits. I've lived this way for over a year and it's very freeing to feel full and not think about where the next snack is coming from because I was basically trying to maintain a calorie deficit (which isn't true on low-/mod-carb).
