Toddlers: 12 - 24 Months

But he looks so innocent!

This is what my daycare lady told me yesterday when she had to report that he'd fallen while jumping and put four tooth holes in his lower lip.  This kid is a maniac but looks so tiny and angelic.  He's just one big scrape and bruise right now and I'm taking bets on how long it'll be before he needs stitches or a cast :-/

Funny thing is, his first boo boo (a skinned knee) was because he fell while running and I told him "You're so fast!"  So now any time he gets hurt he says "I fast. *insert pout*"  This morning he rolled right off my bed while watching tv and I rushed to him, laying face down on the floor crying and I hear "I faaaast."  Was it wrong that I laughed?

  • No not wrong.  If I didn't have a good laugh at Asher from time to time, I'd be pretty sad.  Asher bumps something, cuts something, bruises something at least 5 times a day or more.  I almost felt bad at his last well check up appt.  His pedi said "If he doesn't have at least 50 bruises, then he isn't a toddler yet"

I don't think so... Because I just laughed with you!

L just started walking, so I'm sure we're about to get into this phase.
