I have two Medela pumps; a PIS I keep at work and a Freestyle I keep at home. I had to go into a different office than I usually work out of today, so I brought my home pump. Got all setup and realized I brought the wrong parts and they aren't compatible! I am so lucky that there is another woman here who is going to let me use her pump (with my parts) or else I'd have to drive an hour back home.
This is not the first time I've done something like this. ![]()

Re: I'm an idiot. (Pumping related)
It's hard keeping everything straight!!
More than once I've gone to work with all my pump accessories, down to a sharpie to label the bags, and realized I forgot the actual pump!!
Jess & Adam, married 2009, precious Audrey born in 2011. BFP 1/6/13, 6-wk MMC discovered at 9 wks 2/11/13. D&C 2/18/13, second D&C 4/23/13 for retained placenta.

I completely understand. The other day I thought I had everything but realized in the car while I was trying to pump the little yellow pieces with the flap that create the suction (not sure what they are called) were missing. I'd taken them off to clean and didn't put them back on. I had to turn around and drive back home, unhook myself, get the parts and start the trip all over again. Once I got half way there I went to put the lids on the bottles and realized I'd forgotten them too! I had to go into a drugstore and buy the freezer bags, I was a mess that day.
Props to all of you women who work and pump.
Its not easy and much harder than just nursing. I EBF but pump for a stash since hubby is sick and I need to leave DS sometimes when he's in the hospital or has certain appts. I cant stand pumping.
