Wish they made an inbetween clothing size!

My little peanut is still wearing preemie clothes at 5 lbs. 1 oz., but they are starting to get snug in length.  However, newborn clothes are sooo long!  Did anyone else have that problem?  He is about 17" long right now, so under the norm for typical newborn length.  I wish they made something in between, like newborn petites or something.  Hopefully he will just have a huge growth spurt this next week and start fillling the NB stuff out!

    I had that problem with my son. We just put him in newborn sizes even though they hung off of him. I agree they should make in between sizes!! The town I live in hardly had preemie clothes. My mom and mil both had to buy preemie clothes for us in their towns when our lo came early since he was under 5 pounds.

    Try gerber brand newborn clothes. i found that they run a little small so were perfect for that in between stage

    Buy Gerber newborn brand.  They run small so they work great for those in between times!

    We used Baby Gap under 7lb size.

    Carter's seems to run smaller and Gap has a 7lb and under line <: Also Gymboree has a 5-9 pound line. Love the profile pic btw!!

    DD was the same way.  She's still a couple lbs behind but is already in the normal height range for her age.  I mentioned that to a nurse at my ob/gyn's office and she said with her preemie she bought some preemie long clothes but that it had been years since she'd had the baby.  I never looked online - though it might be worth trying - but I didn't even see any in stores either.  We just rolled sleeves for months.  She's about to go up to the 3-6 mo size and I know we'll be rolling again. 

    eta I second the gerber suggesion.  DD lived in that brands for weeks.  I literally wore the seams out of some they were worn and washed so much.

    I've had that problem too. My DS is 2 weeks adjusted and 7.9#....I find myself dressing him in NB onsies and preemie pants.
