I voted "not trying/not preventing". We were trying to prevent. I was charting and we were avoiding that way. It had worked for over a year and then the month I got PG I must have ovulated like 12 hours early or something. It was a surprise, but a very good one
For both pregnancies I was taking fertility meds (Clomid) and with this pregnancy I also had an IUI...so I guess I consider that a little beyond "actively trying." I think I'd call it "sought intervention" or something like that.
I was a SS. We tried for 2yrs to get a BFP with no luck. I took 4 cycles of clomid and then we stoped trying bc our marriage was falling apart and we seperated for about 6 months. We got back together and 2 weeks later i was KU.
Well, we had sex, and his spermie found my itsy bitsy egg and they made a baby.

There was a blizzard outside. Also, it was the worst possible time for me to get pregnant (medical issues) so of course I got KTFU. I had charted for a year of failure and gave up. 5 months later...
Francesca Pearl is here! Josephine Hope is almost 3!
I voted using DS#2's conception - chose BCP failure even though it was actually Nuva-Ring - figured it was the closest thing.
DS#1 was at SIL's wedding weekend - drank too much between the rehearsal dinner & going out to a bar afterwards and P&P failed. We had only been married 2 months when I got knocked up with DS#1.
I get a great big fail at family planning all around.

Re: How did you get pregnant CP
I voted for DS2, we were trying. DS1 was us being pretty irresponsible. He was kind of a surprise.

DS1: Condom fail on New Years Eve.
DS2: charting/avoiding during fertile time. Thought we were safe on a dry day, turns out DH has super-sperm that lived for the maximum 5 days.
Two happy surprise babies
#1: IVF
#2: IVF (FET)
We got very lucky and had successful pregnancies on the first IVF cycles both times.
DS#1- Pull n Pray failed (I was 19)
DS#2- Almost 1 year or TTC

I was all angsty about my dad coming to visit me so DH made a pitcher of margaritas to "help me relax".

well I had to vote twice it was a different answer for each pregnancy.
With LO actively trying
With #2 we had to seek intervention through clomid!
I chose "sought intervention"
TTC for 3 1/2 years. We had success on our first IUI with Donor Sperm.
