My ER is Scheduled for Friday!!

in TTC After a Loss

As my DH says in his best British accent - "This sh!t just got real"!

I had my fu u/s today and have 10 mature follies with 4 that may or may not catch up. My stims were pretty short and I am about 2 days ahead of schedule. I trigger tonight at 9:30 and egg retrieval is at 8am on Fri.

I don't ask for it too much but if you can spare any t&ps for me, I would be forever grateful. I am so scared. I think I am gonna puke. Or cry. Or cry while I puke.

 

Me: 37 DH: 40 TTC since 9/09
#1 BFP 1/10/11; missed m/c discovered 7w5d
IF Dx: Endo, hetero MTHFR mutation, poor morphology
#1 IUI: 1/18/12 = BFN
#1 IVF/ICSI 4/2/12 = 2 x 7-cell and 1 x 5-cell transferred (3dt) = BFP!!
H was born at 41w2d on 12/29/12 - be still my heart!
#2 IVF/ICSI 1/19/14 = 2 x 8 cells transferred (3dt) = BFP!! EDD 10/09/14
M&W born at 37 weeks on 9/18/14 - I am the momma of 3 boys!!!

    YAY YAY YAY!!!!!! I'm so flippin excited for you! And I totally get the crying and puking thing. Sending so many thoughts and prayers to you. Are you expecting a 3DT or 5DT?
    3 ectopic pregnancies (EDD's 1/30/12-tube removed, 6/2/12-methotrexate and 10/2/12-methotrexate)
    IVF and Natural FET resulted in BFN's and a hole in our wallets
    Natural BFP #4 on 9/7/12 gave us our miracle on 5/18/13

     BFP on Cycle 17 09/27/12. EDD 06/04/12! Please Stick Baby! A/S 01/22/13 Baby looking great. Officially TEAM BLUE! Jack is getting a Baby Brother! RCS scheduled for 05/29/13. William Daryll born at 9:59am on 05/29/13. Left ovary and tube removed due to peach sized tumor found during RCS. Pathology came back benign!

    My RE is planning on a 3dt of 2 (if we have them) . If we have anything left over, they will let them go to 5 and see if we have anything to freeze then. The 3 vs. 5 dt is crazy when you start reading/talking about it. It is almost like talking politics and religion. Yikes! A lot of people say clinics do a 3 day transfer because it is easier on the clinic and reduces their responsibility for failed blasts but my clinic does take some to blast and often does 5dt when needed. The key person here is the embryologist, not the RE and she gave me her reasons for a proposed 3dt for me but it was so over my head. Oxford published a journal's study between the two and  concluded that 3 and 5 dts had similar pregnancy, implant and twining rates but there is a ton of conflicting info out there. Boo for the confusing stuff!

    Good luck!! So interesting about the 3d vs. 5d, I dont have a choice since I'm doing PHD and my clinic does 5d blast testing. I haven't gotten so caught up in the debate since I don't have a choice.

    Because of the great "Snow"vember of 2015, my medicated cycle was cancelled.  However, we were blessed with our little rainbow baby due on 8/14/15!  Baby J had other plans and decided to make his grand ole entrance on 7/4/2015!

    Surprise!  Our little girl entered this world on 12/8/2016 after her eviction notice was long past due.  Our little turkey baby turned into a snow baby!  

                                                        
    Third times the charm!  BFP on 4/18/2019, EDD: 12/18/2019!

    We lost our first (EDD 07/23/12) after finding out at 12 weeks there was no longer a heartbeat. Our rainbow was born 05/22/13 and was worth all we went through.
