Stock Pedialyte in your house. LO barfed most of the morning yesterday. Poor thing was a limp ragdoll. Wasn't nursing well. Called the doc line and they said she'd need oral replacement therapy if she didn't nurse soon. But I had no pedialyte!!!! With only one car I had to get DH to come home on his lunch (30min drive one way) and bring us some. She ended up nursing before we needed it, but it will be permanently stocked in my house from now on! Even if I had the car, she wasn't in any shape to be put in the carseat and taken to the pharmacy.
Anyone else have a learn from my mistake story??
Re: XP:Learn from my mistake
DD turns 4 today and we have never used any Pedialyte. I would have wasted money stocking up.
The only medical items I have at all times are fever reducers, Benadryl (which also has never been used), bandages, and Bacitracin ointment.
HBD to your DD!
And I'll waste the money just to make sure I have some on hand. Hopefully it will be money wasted!!
My LO refuses to drink pedialyte
I also hate that the label says to throw the unused portion away after a few days. It's such a waste of money when that happens. I've thrown away two large bottles so far.
I bought the powder packets of the probiotics. It's easier since you can put it in food or a drink and LO doesn't taste the difference.
DH picked up these little bottles of it - so if it's opened and not used, it's not a huge waste.
I had a feeling there had to be smaller bottles. I'll have to look into it. Thanks!
