  • Mashed potatoes and gravy are my favs but you could bring creamed corn, spinach casserole, green beans, peas, deviled eggs, dressing, or rolls...those things are always a hit with our families.
  • Dressing (stuffing)....the kind made with cornbread.  That's about the only thing I'll eat on Thanksgiving day.  I'm not big on any of the other food/desserts.

  • Hmmmm.... I honestly think it's the sweet potatoes.  I detest green been casserole.

I love my pecan pie for dessert, though.

  • my mil's homemade cranberry sauce
  • Cheesy green bean casserole..which incidentally is what my aunt put me in charge of this year for the first time.  This is the first year the grandkids get/have (depending on which of us you ask) to bring something.  I'm excited about it!

  • We do an onion tart that's pretty awesome -- growing up we often had creamed pearl onions. This year, I'm going to make a creamed spinach and gruyere thing I saw in Real Simple. That would travel well.

I also love brussels sprouts, but lots of people don't.

    Oh and corn pudding!

  • I like too many things.... the cornbread dressing, sweet potato casserole, squash casserole, corn pudding (very simple to make), 7 layer salad....
  • I make a corn casserole that is super easy and delicious.  And it is always a big hit.  It is just corn with cream cheese and butter and jalepenos.  Mmmmm....

Just melt the cream cheese and butter together and mix it with the corn, add jalepenos and a little jalepeno juice and bake it until it is warm all the way through.
It isn't very healthy, but it is very good!
