Hi, I am still breastfeeding my 11 month old but I've recently experienced a very sudden drop in milk supply (more than in the past with my cycle, etc.)...it seems like he's not getting enough milk and he is leaning out (although he was pretty robust, so this isn't cause for concern)...could I be pregnant?
Re: sudden drop in milk supply
Honey, why are you asking internet strangers are you KU?
Are you serious?
Just stop troll.
This was directed at the woman who called me "troll"
Honey, if you think your pg RELAX and take a test.
Its simple.
Ignore her. And I agree with PP, POAS.
Aww...Look at the lil newbie with 200 post.
How about you get a few more post under your belt then you can have an opinion?
Kay,byee!
Try as you might, you can't get under my skin. However, I think that if you are going to preach relaxation and complain about others being snarky, you should keep your own snark in check.
OP, your milk supply can drop (sometimes significantly) leading up to and during your period. You can also experience changes when pregnant, but I would not take that one sign alone to mean anything because, like all the rest, it also happens when you're about to get your period.
ETA: I reread your post and saw that this was a more significant change than before, but still every cycle is different with different levels of hormones. So, I'd wait it out and take a test when you're late.
Always Sunny's back b-tches!
I am relaxed.
If im not bothering you, why are you responding???
Exactly. Go back to lurking lil newb!
who are you?!?! you sound a little crazy. and you are bothering me with your rudeness...
Im bothering you? Yet you come on an internet site asking US if your pg.
You need a reality check. Serioulsy.
You need to relax
Has he been nursing on the same schedule as always? When DD got to be around that age my supply started dwindling too and I had to actually stop and think about how much she was still nursing.
That was probably one of the first things you thought about, so sorry if it wasn't too helpful! I was just thinking that the culprit could be the combination of where you are in your cycle and him getting more active or eating more solids.
You never know how strong you are until being strong is the only choice you have
After almost 3 years of IF and a crazy roadside delivery, we are loving life with our second beautiful daughter!
OP, my DS is 17 months and still nurses pretty frequently, but I experienced a major depletion in supply the past few days (I believe it's due to traveling all last week and not being able to pump like I would if I was still at work). I pumped only 1/5th of what I normally would yesterday and today. But I know it's not pregnancy related since I haven't O'ed this cycle yet. Supply can vary dramatically for all sorts of reasons. Mine took its first major hit when DS started eating solids, and again when he started sleeping through the night.
Good luck to you, though! FX!
