Performance issues

I know this may be a sensitive subject for some people but is anyone dealing with a spouse who is having performance issues in the sack?

Have you been able to overcome the issues?

DH's body is struggling with the concept of humping it out.

We had a slight issue with this last cycle. We watched porn while we did it and he still barely made it to the finish line. All I can say is, you just have to pull out all the stops to get his brain into sexy-mode. Whatever gets him going, do it!

Yes. This is why we went straight to IUI when we met with the RE. The extra $300 was worth avoiding this issue. We both ended up upset with one another.

it's not so much a performance issue, but I think DH is scared to have sex. He initially agreed to use condoms, but then said maybe we should just wait until after AF comes, then we'll be safe. We fool around a couple of weeks ago, but no sex in about a month...I'm kinda going crazy!

Yes, we've run across this a few times. I think he feels too much pressure after a couple of days. So, we have generally taken a break and tried again later, or just slowed it down again and let things build back up to relieve the pressure and stress of it.

We're dealing with this right now, for the first time in the two years we've been TTC. I'm not sure if it's from the m/c or the visit to the RE/first clomid cycle or the fact that we're doing TI... Or all of it.

It's super frustrating, though. I think that if this isn't the cycle, next cycle I'm going to booze him up first.

we do struggle with this. This next cycle I'm planning on trying to not let DH know what point of the cycle I am on that way I'm hoping the pressure won't be on him so much.

I am not able to relate to this issue, but... has he gone in for testing? Such as for hormone levels like low testosterone? Perhaps you could talk to your doctor about supplements. I know there's some natural herbal supplements that tend to, err.... boost up my DH's desire even more. Panax Ginseng and "Horny Goat Weed" are two of them. Perhaps you could research that and check with your Dr to see if it's safe and potentially helpful?

He's been taking ginseng, which had invigorated him in the past. Maybe he needs to up his dose. I think if things keep heading this way then a visit to the dr. may be in order. I feel bad for him because he feels so poorly when this happens. Honestly, I don't care that it happens. I don't feel any differently towards him except for frustration because he gets so mad at himself.

I also think our timing could be more strategic. So much to think about.

le sigh. Another wonderful challenge on the TTCAL journey.
