My husband and I are both feeling very strongly about a no-intervention birth. I will be delivering in a hospital because this is my first baby, and I'm too nervous todo it at home, and the nearest birth center is over an hour away.
Aaaaanyway, we are taking a non-specific natural childbirth class in early June, but my husband would like a good coaching book ahead of time. Any recs?

My DH just started reading this one, and is really enjoying it. I've flipped through it myself, and have been impressed with what I've read. I think it's your best choice, OP.

FTM here, not having experienced labor yet, so take my input with a grain of salt...
I feel like the two books compliment each other really well, but if you were going to choose only one and had already decided on NB, I'd go with The Birth Partner. Husband Coached Childbirth is great for preparation and explaining the reasons behind going med-free, but The Birth Partner really goes through different pain management strategies and ways your partner can help you during labor. DH is reading The Birth Partner now and keeps saying he wishes he had read that one first.
