  Is he awake? P would do this, but in his sleep. I had pretty good success with gently moving him to his crib (by our bed). It was like he just felt crowded or something, haha.

  Is he walking yet? If not, I wonder if he's getting ready. DS tends to do wacky things in the night before milestones. Now that he's walking, he no longer wakes up and does downward-facing dog pose while ramming his head into the headboard (which actually strengthens the muscles needed to move from sitting to crouching to standing), but he does still do the flips and feet and pillow burrowing.

  Thanks ladies! Sometimes he's fully awake and sometimes I think he is in the borderland between asleep and awake.

  Pixie, he's not walking yet but I think he's getting very close. His furniture cruising is masterful and he can stand on his own for a bit now. He just hasn't quite gotten getting up without holding on thing yet. I really hope you are right and this nuttiness ends once he starts walking.  The pillow burrowing doesn't bother me as much because at this point he's shown me that he can definitely move himself as necessary and won't suffocate himself.

  DD likes to give me CPR while I'm sleeping. She will wake up, crawl over to me, put her hands on my sternum and start jumping up and down. Hurts like a B.
