BabyKicks Joey Hemp Inserts Premium ?

I bought one of these and just threw it in the wash with my other new dipes to start prepping. How many times do I need to wash this insert?

Also, since it's just 1 insert, can I wash it with our regular clothes laundry until it's prepped enough? 

And the insert looks like 2 pieces, it's just sewed together at the top by a few stitches. Do you usually cut them apart and use them as 2 separate inserts?

    I kept mine together.  That way you have one super efficient insert that dries quickly, too.  It's my favorite hemp insert.  :)

    I use it as two individual inserts.  As for boiling: put water in pot, put pot on stove, turn heat to high, when water bubbles turn temp down to med-high and put hemp insert in, set kitchen timer to 20-30 min, carefully remove from pot and wash & dry once and you're ready to go.  Some people also add a drop or two of blue dawn to help remove oils but I haven't noticed a difference.

    To answer your other question, you can wash it with other things as long as you are using a CD safe routine/detergent.
