So, it's approaching: swim season. DD has swimsuits, a life vest, sunscreen, a hat, sunglasses, etc. But then I realized that I need to get in the water with her. I have lost my pregnancy weight but my hips are wider, my boobs are saggier, my pooch is... not going anywhere, any time soon. And then there's the stretch marks, but those aren't going anywhere either.
Does anyone have any referrals for swimsuits -- ones that are flattering, yet conservative, and that will help contain/lift/flatten all the areas I need help with??
Re: NBR: Swimsuits for mama
I have been thinking the same thing! I lost all my weight, but that pooch doesn't seem to be going away! I've always worn a bikini, but unless I'm totally confident with my body, I know I'll hate wearing one.
I just got my J.Crew magazine today and they have some really cute one-pieces. Thinking I might try a couple of those! Hate buying bathing suits online because you never know how they'll look, but they are really cute.
I've been mulling this over for the past month. Everything I have found online that is meant to shrink, tuck, and lift in the right places is outside of my budget. I don't really see myself spending $100 on a bathing suit, especially when I still look...well, I look like I had a baby six months ago.
I was pleasantly surprised when I went into Target last week and they seem to have a large selection of suits that were cute and practical. Plus, they were much more affordable at around $30 to $40. I didn't get to try any on, (DD was with me), but I feel confident that when I go back I'll be able to find something. Hope this helps!
I know that target has a line of pretty cute one pieces that are made by spanx. I was thinking about getting one of those.
I also have another one piece that I found on clearance at Macy's the summer after I had DD#1. Its a Marc Jacobs one piece, very cute and I got it for super cheap too!
I also have a few tankinis with boy shorts that I wear also, I think I got them at Macy's on clearance also.
I bought this one from old navy in black and in blue. All the reviews were from mom's. I wore it before I lost a lot of my weight while on vacation recently and it's great. I highly recommend it!
