A milestone of sorts. ;)

DD1 gave herself a haircut this afternoon. Eeeek! 

Funnily enough, one of my first thoughts -- besides not knowing whether to laugh or gasp -- was that she used an adult-sized pair of scissors, and her fine motor skills are really improving. LOL! 

She cut off a heaping fistful of hair around her face, including big chunks of the bangs that we've been trying to grow out for months. :P Then she proceeded to do awesome at the "emergency" trip to the hair salon and sat just as quietly and nicely as you please. 

I didn't really want to cut her hair, much less do layers, but it disguised the chip-chopping she did pretty nicely. At least there are no bald spots! And when the stylist kept saying, "Oh, everybody does this. Everybody," I couldn't help but think, "You have no idea how nice that is to hear."
