recommend your convertible carseat!

DD is getting too big for her infant carseat and we're reading to move her to a convertible one. I can't decide what to get. My mom is already using the Graco MyRide65 with DD in her car so I'm leaning toward that, but have friends who really like Britax. Just not sure... Greatly interested in your experience, advice! TIA!

  • We have the Orbit Baby and a Britax Advocate, both rear facing (she is 15 mos). It seems like she will outgrow the Advocate sooner than the Orbit in terms of height (she is pretty tall also). We like the Orbit more because it seems more room, and also the rotation feature.

  • We have the Britax Boulevards and I really like how easy these seats are to use, move harnesses, loosen and install latch style rear facing.  We are still rear facing in these at 22 months.  I was torn between to Britax Marathon and Blvd and opted to spend the extra $20 for the Boulevards for the extra side impact wings.

  • We went with 2 Recaro ProRides.

This! We really like our Britax Boulevards- we've only had them 2 weeks now and I am still trying to get used to putting DD in them and taking her out- it's a little different than plopping her in the infant seat and carrying them both to the car to attach to the bases. I am very impressed with the quality of the boulevard and I reall like the extra side impact wings not only for safety but also it gives DD something extra to rest her head on when napping in the car.

  • I dd'd about the Natilus cause I totally  misread the post as a different age.  Sorry about that. Another  option is the Diono Raian.
  • I really like our Britax Boulevard 70.  It's quick and easy to use and install, has good RF limits, and DS is very comfortable in it.

When you get your Foonf and have it installed can you review it for us, I'm really curious to here real life reviews.

Definitely! I'm excited to see how it compares to the other two as well. I've been happy with the Orbit and Pria too. I don't think I'll get the Foonf until July but I will definitely review it. I'm also going to the store I ordered it from here in the beginning of June to test out the sample and if they let me I will take pictures.

  • I love my Radian XTSL, which has been upgraded to the RXT.  I cannot speak enough praise about it, especially since it fits so nicely in our compact car.

however long the night, dawn will break.

  • First Years True Fit - excellent reviews, removable headrest, no need to rethread each time, cushy and slimmer than the Britax.

  • I love my Britax Boulevard.  It seems very plush and comfy.  DS rests his head on the little sidewings when he naps in the car.  It's VERY easy to buckle him in and take him out.

I really like Britax and I think we're even going to upgrade the carseat in DH's car from a Cosco Scenera to a Britax Roundabout.  The Scenera is very affordable, but after several months of use and flying with it on vacation, we think it's a pain to get DS buckled in and out of the Scenera.  And it doesn't seem too comfortable, since it doesn't have a lot of padding.  That's just a comfort issue, not a safety issue
