Toddler bunkbed?

This may be crazy but I'm looking for a toddler size under with a twin on top bunkbed.  DS room is really tiny and a normal twin bunk will be to big.

Re: Toddler bunkbed?

  • What are you going to do in a few years when he grows out of the toddler bed?

  • We plan to move in a few years but for now it's not looking like we will move as soon as we would like his room is small and we plan to have another so we need to figure something out.  I think I said it wrong need a toddler on the bottum twin on top.  The space we have to work with is 82 inches by 55 on one end and 24 on the other.  (the 24  is to not block the only closet in the house.

  • Could you do a lofted twin and put a regular toddler bed under?

  • I don't think what you're looking for exists, nor would it likely be helpful to you. Even if it was toddler on the bottom/twin on top the support structure would have to be the footprint of a twin on bottom anyway (like a loft bed would be). You could buy a twin loft bed and set up a separate toddler bed under it probably. Also, how old would the kids using the bunk beds be? I want my girls to eventually have bunk beds but there's no way I would put my younger one in one for at least another year (possibly longer because she's a wild woman and I don't trust her not to jump off the top bunk for fun).

  • My son is 2.5 he would be about 4 when he would move to the top bunk but he has already naped on a bunk bed at his friends house he is very carful and never jumps off   he is a run follower.  I have the doors off the closet already but want to block as little as possible.
