so i'm just wondering what you all are giving out as favours at your LOs birthday.
I ordered a hep of lcandy and clear chinese take away boxes with cute stickers to put them in and then realised... um this is a first birthday, kids that age don't eat candy....
I'm thinking bubble blowers or something - HELP! I NEED IDEAS!
Re: Favours at 1st birthday
Honestly DD will be the youngest one at her party so I wasn't worried about making it age appropriate for one year olds. Our theme is cupcakes so we are doing socks rolled up like cupcakes and a few other items like cupcake pads of paper etc. We will also include candy most likely.
If you are having older kids at all your favors should be fine. Just pick up a few things for the younger guests.

Well we are doing a little more really because some of them are prizes for games as well. Each child is getting a Dr. Seuss book, a mini gumball machine, a stuffed Cat in The Hat, A Dr. Seuss bag for everything to go in, Dr. Seuss stickers and this Dr. Seuss craft thing, and a Marshmellow pop made by one of my friends.
Like I said most of it is prizes for games and the Dr. Seuss book is all they are really getting at the end.
what kind of games do you play at a 1 year olds party.... all the kids at C's will be under 2?
I think i'll get some cheap little books and bubbles - we're doing a monkey theme and the bubble blowers are shaped like a monkey so maybe i'll stick with that and candy for the parents!
I just went to a party on Sunday, and we got little sets of jingle bells and hand sanitizer.
It's weird how it showed my reply. Here it is:
Other than DS the next youngest is 3 after that all the kids are 5 and up. We are doing a ballon pop game, where they have to pop the ballons on a board. We also are planning to do a fishing game where we will make fish and put magnets on them and they will use a fishing pole with a magnet and fish. Also, we will be doing a simple maze where they have to just draw through the maze on paper. Of course they will still get the prize whether they do it correctly or not.
We also have a guess how many candies in the jar game, and the adult that gets closet gets the jar of candy, the child that gets closest will get this really big Dr. Seuss coloring/sticker book.
We are having 9 kids for sure including DS, and other than him the other youngest is 3, then they range from 5-12. We have 4 unsures. All of these kids are cousins and just 2 friends (my friends children). We had planned on having it at our clubhouse at first and all we had was the option of playing games and doing crafts and I didn't want a bunch of kids bored.
We had planned prizes just because they were favors but we figured it would be fun for them to get something after a game. I had gotten a lot of the stuff already when we decided there is going to be so many people the clubhouse is not accomadating. So, we switched it to my sister's house (where most family parties are). I had the stuff already, so even though they have my niece and nephews toys to play with and they will have a bounce house, I wasn't going to return everything.
If we had not planned it like this to keep the kids occupied and if we did not have so many kids we would not have been doing all of this.
I 'm thinking I'm going to do little containers of skittles with a label on them that I'll have a friend design. SOmething like this:
