Right now I usually nurse Isaac before daycare, send him to school with
5-6 ounces of purees, and then feed some finger food at dinnertime. He's
starting to reject nursing from time to time, and he did this morning
(he woke to eat at 5:15, then when I offered the other side at 7:30 he
was not interested). I guess he's starting the process of weaning. Are
any daycare moms giving solids in the morning before school? I was
thinking of making some healthy pancakes or muffins for him to nibble on
while we get ready. Kind of worried about him making a mess of himself.

I don?t feed Bell anything before daycare. I wake her up, she gets changed and we head out. She normally falls back asleep on the car ride over. Daycare feeds her about 8:30 so I?m not worried about her not getting food soon enough. Also it gives me a little time on the weekend as she doesn?t wake up hungry at 6:45 instead will sleep till almost 8 before she realizes i didn?t come wake her.

I leave at 6:30 AM so I don't have a ton of time to give V breakfast before I leave. Usually I wake him up, he nurses for 15 minutes and then I hand him off to DH.
DH told me they sit on the couch together and share some toast or cereal. DH makes himself a bowl of cereal and adds a handful of plain Cheerios in the bowl so he can spoon them out for V. (DH probably eats Raisin Bran so that isn't really baby-friendly). I think it sounds adorable and I wish I was a fly on the wall to see the cuteness of them sharing breakfast. Anyways, V also eats breakfast at 9:00 at the DCP's house. He usually has fruit, yogurt, and dry cereal.
This is the cutest thing!!! Wheras on Saturday DH made a bowl of cheerios and looked in to where I was playing with Ty and said "Ty, I've got your Cheerios! What are you gonna do about it?!" The best part - Ty has been working on his "intimidating face" and he gave DH a death stare!
LO is usually up around 6am, I get him dressed and give him a 7oz bottle. I leave to go to work at 6:30 and DH takes him to daycare around 7:30. Then our sitter feeds him breakfast around 8am. There's no way I have time to feed him solids, but he doesn't need to eat solids at that point since he's just had an entire bottle.
