And I knew that the hospital I'm delivering at is NB friendly, but I was still pretty shocked.
The class was taught by a doula. She was pretty awesome. It really focused on pain management through the stages of labor, and also focused on what your SO should do to help you out. Because she presented most of the information from the labor support person's perspective, MH got a lot out of it.
We got to see the 'birthing suites' that were nicer than any hotel I've ever been too.
I left there feeling really confident that I can do this. And really confident that H is going to be awesome.
Re: So I had my childbirth prep class yesterday...
my hospital is very supportive of NB as well, which I have the feeling it will make all the difference (: I'm still nervous about it of course, but it helps me to think that women have been doing this since the beginning of time AND they didn't even have drugs back then! I don't know if that helps or not but it's helping me. I can't wait to get this baby out of me lol
Also my childbirth and labor class goes over pain medication births and natural birth/coping methods, I go every Monday at least I will for 6 weeks, my 4th class is tomorrow! Can't wait
That's great to hear! I wish my birthing classes would've been like that...
It is wonderful that you are feeling confident about it, too! You can do it!
