Sorry if this topic has already been discussed but this is the first year were actually doing it since shes old enough. Shes 16 months and just wondering what everyone else is putting in the baskets.
Hi! I'm actually pretty excited about LO's Easter Basket this year. We're doing the plastic eggs filled with a few M&M's in each one. We'll do a hollow chocolate bunny. We're going to put some matchbox cars in it, and some my first crayola things in it. And maybe some other little chocolates. :-)
I should add that LO won't be eating all that chocolate, his Daddy can help out on that end!

Easter this year is just a few days after her 1st bday. I'm putting in books, wooden puzzles, bubbles, a new cloth diaper, My first crayola bath crayons. I think that's it.
She's too young (IMO) for candy, so none of that this year. Someone mentioned putting fruit in the Easter basket, so maybe we'll do that.
Board books, toddler crayons, a UConn Husky pillow pet, Winnie the Pooh DVD, a Grover snack bowl from the $1 section at Target, and some eggs filled with either Annie's bunny crackers or stickers or something. He may also get some new utensils since I have some coupons for them.
I think my mom is planning to get him some beach toys for the summer.
21 month old boy - bubbles, coloring book, reading book, sidewalk chalk (not sure how this is going to go!), beach toys, a new bathing suit. I am sure we will end up adding a few extra things.
I was going to get her a bathing suit because that's what me and my sister got every easter, but she ended up getting one for her bday. So far I've got a sun hat and a ball for outside. That's probably all because she's too young for chocolate etc. and she doesn't even know what's going on.

My son is 16 months as well. His new favorite thing in the entire world is Elmo so practically everything is Elmo themed. 4 Elmo/Sesame Street books, a singing Elmo stuffed toy, a Sesame Street blankie, swim trunks for this summer, Elmo eating utensils, Elmo snack cup filled with a variety of treats and some candy. He loves M&Ms so I got him a small bag of those shaped like a carrot. Several things were purchased from the dollar section at Target. They always have Elmo stuff.
In addition he will see Mr. Bunny this weekend and we'll pick out his Easter outfit.
DS2 is getting some new crayons (all our current ones are broken) and a stuffed animal of his very own. When DS1 was that age, he got a stuffed animal and a picture book for Easter, and I think my ILs sent him a few things.
Bunny strawed sippy cup. Easter bubble wands with bubbles. Easter mini slinky. Bath tub marker paints. Small stuffed puppy with bunny ears. Sidewalk chalk baby chick holder. All in a felt froggy bag instead of basket.

I found a bunch of sesame street board books, stickers, and flashcards at the dollar spot at Target, so those. Then I bought some toddler markers. And I bought a couple little candies. I think I'll still try to pick up a small toy, or outfit to add as well.

I have a little stuffed animal, two books (one is an actual Easter book and one is a regular book), plastic eggs which I am going to put yogurt bites in...and I haven't gotten further than that. LOL Probably a shirt or something as well.
My 21.5 mo old will get some candy, a board book, maybe a toy car, maybe bubbles - I'm not going to go crazy!
The basket itself is probably the biggest gift. I found it at hallmark yesterday. He is obsessed with their plus animated singing things (like the snowmen they do at christmas, it's all he played with over the holidays)
I got him Elmo and Cookie Monster socks from the $1 section at Target. MIL got him some of those colored bubbles. (oh boy!) I love the idea of sidewalk chalk. I was going to buy them at Target but they were all broken. We also have some Little People toys. I'm not sure what else yet. I'm sure we'll do eggs with M&M's and some puffs or something.
Take a chance. Take a risk. Take the initiative. Make your wishes a reality and make your dreams come true!
DD is really easy this year, almost 26 months - coloring books, crayons, little people figures, sidewalk chalk, hair bows, play jewelry, etc
My 5 yo SS I am having a terrible time with though! There isn't much in the $5 and under range to keep him happy anymore!
For my stepson, I would buy smaller lego sets, and spread out the pieces inside the plastic eggs. He's getting the Mario Brothers Minifigures, this year. Lego also makes minifigs for about $4.
At Target, they usually have bagged lego sets for $4-5. Some are in the Easter section, and you can usually find one or two at the registers.
He's also received pool toys in his basket - those water bomb balls that are squishy.

lift the flap books
crayons
play doh
bubbles
small purse with dog stuffed animal
plastic eggs (still deciding what to put in them)
