Hey everyone. I am currently 17 weeks pregnant with my second child and after much consideration, just made the decision to try a VBAC if I go into labor on my own. My son was born at 30 weeks by emergency c-section due to a severe case of preeclampsia.
I am nervous that since my son was so early that I will not go into labor on my own, or having prreclampsia again. I never even had Braxton Hicks contractions with my son. However, I am hopeful that my VBAC will happen, but I hope to not be too upset if it can't.
Anyone here have such an early birth and then go on to have a succesful VBAC?
Re: Intro and hoping for a VBAC
No personal experience, but it was a first time pregnancy thing for my mother, the complications requiring a C/S for me at the bare begining of the last trimester... and she had two successful, unmedicated, smooth, beautiful VBAC's after with both my brothers... who were perfect and grew up into beautiful, perfectly healthy young men despite doctors cautioning against all sorts of problems with a VBAC....
Her story is not too uncommon, so I believe that there is a good possibility it will happen for you.
