Triggering Tonight!!

Woo hoo! Triggering tonight @9:45 after 9 days of stims for Tuesday retrieval! I am so excited to get to this point and can't wait to see how many they get. I had about 4 follies at 18 and 19 and a bunch in the 15-17 range so I will still stim tonight and then do hcg later.  The nurse said the hcg might sting a bit, for those of you that have triggered with it before is it bad?

    I have done several HCG triggers and didn't feel anything (subQ). Good luck!

    I've done both IM and sub-q HCG and neither of them stung. Good luck!

    Severe MFI. Me: supposedly all clear but eggs showed vacuoles.

    IVF #1 January 2012, ER Jan 14th: 34R, 27M, 23F. Day 3: 18 embies still strong. Day 5: zero "good," one "fair," the rest "poor." Transferred 3. None made it to blast or to freeze. Jan 28: BFN.

    Lucky IVF #2: Transferred two beautiful day three embies on St. Patrick's Day. BFP on HPT 7dp3dt. Beta 1 (14dpER)=106; Beta 2 (16dpER)=140; Beta 3 (19dpER)=264! First u/s 4.17.

    I've only used Ovidrel (sub-q), but it was really easy and didn't sting at all.

    GL to you!  FX'ed that all goes well on Tuesday!

    Thanks! Mine will be sub-q so it really should not be too bad... sometimes I thought the follistim stung anyways so I am used to it!

    Excellent news. I would not worry about the trigger, it was a breeze for me

    Multiple ectopics, 2 failed IVF's
    IVF #1: Did not get to ET, embies all failed PGD (major chromosomal defects)
    IVF #2: We have 2 chromosomally perfect embies as a result of PGD (Boy/Girl) 1 failed the thaw (Girl) Transferred 1, yet ended as a c/p
    Thought it was the end of our TTC Journey 6/20/2012
    SHOCK BFP 9/28/2012: IT'S A BOY! and everything is normal !!!!!!

    Little A born 38w 2d on 05/23/13 and is a true miracle for this IF Vet!

    Good luck on Tuesday at your ER! I wouldn't worry or stress too much about your trigger shot because it definitely wasn't as bad as I expected it to be. Honestly, it didn't sting.

    I haven't done a cycle just yet, so no advice on the trigger. Good luck at ER!!

    ME:46 MH:44 DE IVF 2014
    Met with RE 4/11. 2 IUI's BFN. DE best option. Switched clinics to do "shared" program. Had to retake all tests and a mamm that put me behind and then on a DE waiting list for 12 months. Picked a donor!! (10/13/13) Got matched. Estimated transfer in December. After 2.5 years of patiently waiting I will finally cycle....can hardly believe it. DE cycle got cancelled. One of her tests came back positive.  Waiting for another donor. Donor picked!! (1/18/14)

    DE IVF #1 (4/26) BFN  DE FET #1 (6/4) BFP! Beta 1=339 Beta 2=852 Beta 3=9957 EDD 2/22/15!!

    Good luck! My trigger for my IUI stung just a tiny bit and left a little bruise but wasn't anything to write home about. Are you doing it yourself or is your DH?
    Me: 37 DH: 40 TTC since 9/09
    #1 BFP 1/10/11; missed m/c discovered 7w5d
    IF Dx: Endo, hetero MTHFR mutation, poor morphology
    #1 IUI: 1/18/12 = BFN
    #1 IVF/ICSI 4/2/12 = 2 x 7-cell and 1 x 5-cell transferred (3dt) = BFP!!
    H was born at 41w2d on 12/29/12 - be still my heart!
    #2 IVF/ICSI 1/19/14 = 2 x 8 cells transferred (3dt) = BFP!! EDD 10/09/14
    M&W born at 37 weeks on 9/18/14 - I am the momma of 3 boys!!!

    Thank you! Ill be doing it! Actually I have done them all myself.. the way DH holds the needles makes me nervous!!!

    The trigger is a breeze.  Good luck at ER!
    TTC since June 2011
    DH diagnosed with Testicular Cancer 8/2010
    Low sperm count. Only option IVF with ICSI
    Starting First cycle Jan/Feb 2012- Canceled due to not responding to BCP and/or Lupron
    IVF 1.2- stims March 14, ER March 24, 16 R 10F 6 made it to blast
    ET March 29- transferred two blasts, 4A and 4BA, froze 4
    Positive HPT 9dp5dt Beta 1- 385 11dp5dt
    u/s April 25- one healthy heartbeat
    EDD 12/12/12>
