Hey girls, Until now, LO has been sleeping with us in bed. I was becoming concerned that he was waking up when we moved, so I am borrowing an armsreach mini cosleeper from a friend. He seems to do fairly well in it (I nurse or rock to sleep, then put him down in it). I have gotten him to sleep up to 3 hours at a time. He never took to the PNP. He usually wakes up every 2-3 hours to nurse - always has, and I'm starting to think he always will! The co sleeper is my attempt at lengthening his sleeping stretches.Anyway, I really like the cosleeper so far and I need to buy one of my own since this is borrowed. LO is already about 27 inches long and 16lbs. I'd like to try to get as much time as possible out of the cosleeper since its expensive and we've waited so long to buy it! That said, I'm considering the original sized cosleeper.Does anyone have this? It seems quite a bit wider. Is it as wide as a PNP? In your opinion is it too bulky? I can't find many of them around for sale - does anyone really buy this size? Is it so big that LO doesn't feel as snuggled? Thanks in advance!

Re: co sleeper question
Do you have a crib? If so, you can sidecar it? Also, per your previous post--my money is on that baby is waking for hunger and developmental reasons, not you moving around. So, you may want to give it some more time before shelling out any money and see if it just works itself out.
More Green For Less Green
Really, 11 months? The website says only use to 5 months and I wuold think that an 11 month old might be at risk for climbing out of the co sleeper at 11 mos....
I guess you didn't have that problem!
I've been wishing they made a cosleeper with higher sides because my DH will kill me if I ask him to disassemble the crib and reassemble it in our room (only to probably end up with DS in our bed anyway!)
Ours was (is, but we don't use it anymore) the original. It's close to as big as a pack-n-play. It's narrower, but probably a similar length. Whether it's too big/bulky depends on the size of your bedroom, IMO. Ours didn't fit in our room and was a pain, but I didn't want to buy one new and that's what was available on Craigslist when I was looking. I don't think the size makes any difference in whether baby feels snuggled or not. I'm not familiar with the weight limit, but safety seems to me to have more to do with what your baby's motor skills are.
