I had some contractors at my house today cleaning our vents... one of them asked me if I planned to get an epidural and I told him I'll hoping to not and am starting Bradley classes soon.
He shared with me that he has 3 kids and had a different birth with each - the first was an emergency C-section (of course a scary experience), the second his wife got an epidural. He said she was kind of out of it and they were joking around during and not really thinking about what was going on.
For the third, they took Bradley classes and went natural. He said it was such a different and better experience - he felt closer to his wife and child, and really loved being her birthing coach. It was more calm and they were all concentrating on the baby's birth.
It was such an encouraging conversation! It was nice to hear from the daddy's perspective and especially one who's had 3 completely different experiences. It made me look forward to it more!
Re: Nice conversation with a daddy of 3
This!! My husband is SO excited about planning our home birth after 3 hospital births. I can't wait to experience it with him.

After our three, my husband would also say go med-free. He is ridiculously anti-epidural, which worked to my favor during two of my births:)
