I am going away for two nights in April with the family. My husband, LO and I are sharing a room which we have not done since he was 3 months old. I'm starting to wonder how this will work. Will we have to put him to bed three feet away while we watch TV on the bed? That will NEVER work. LO is far too interested in everything else going on and will not go to bed. I don't even think he'll go to bed if he knows we're in the room.
Has anyone done this? How did you handle it? I am imagining two sleepless nights in my future.
Re: Sleeping in a hotel with LO?
whenever we've stayed in hotels with our kids, the kids sleep in bed with us. we're not big tv watchers, so that has never been an issue.
the biggest hotel-related problem i've had was going with dd1 to california. she was still on east coast time and woke up at 4 each morning. the only thing i could think to do with her that early was let her play in the shower for hours on end until everyone else woke up.

BFP!! 8/29/16 --> EDD: 5/11/17....it's a GIRL!!!
We are doing this tomorrow. We put a pnp in our bedroom this week and had her sleep in there Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. The first night was AWFUL. She would not go to sleep. She was screaming and crying and it was just horrible. But, by the third night it was better. Basically, if we don't get upgraded to a suite and we are all in one room, we'll be turning the lights out and the tv off when she goes to bed.
I'm running a 1/2 marathon on Sunday so I need sleep anyway.
I'm picturing this and it looks sooooooo adorable.
