The glucose drink has improved in 4 years

I took my test this morning and the drink was definitely not like I remembered.  Either it was a different brand or it has improved.  I remember last time it was thicker than a normal drink and horribly sweet.  I had to use the entire 5 minutes to get it down.  Today I was able to down it in under a minute and it was not overly sweet.  Hopefully I passed.

    I had mine last week. The drink wasn't bad, but something about it made me violently sick the rest of the day. It was insane. But as far as the actual drink went, it kinda just tasted like orange koolaid, so I was able to gulp it down pretty quick.

    I agree it wasn't too bad, I had mine this past Wed . It did take me all 5 minutes to get it down though. It also made me sick all day... and all day yesterday... and this morning.. I think it was just too much sugar after not eating, it's like it triggered my morning sickness again.

    Crossing my fingers I passed, I definitly don't want to do it again!

    Yeah the one I had was like a super super sweet orange soda. It was very hard for me to drink it because it was so sweet. After the test though I was violently ill all day .. throwing up .. dizzy .. headache. It was awful! 

    Years ago I had to do this same test and it was thick and tasted like a nasty 7 up knock off!

    Did you have the 3 hour or 1 hour test? The 1 hr test doesn't have nearly as much sugar so it is thinner. The 3 hour has twice as much and is thicker.

    I took mine. I thought it was terrible and it made me feel like crap. Thank goodness I passed, but I have to take another one later on. :(

    Good to know!  It's been over 4 years since I drank that stuff!

    I also took the one hour this morning. It was super thin. We'll see how the 3 hr goes...

    I had the 3 hour - the drink was fruit punch flavored and tasted like over sugared koolaid. The fruit punch taste wasn't horrible, it was the fact that it was so sweet it made my teeth hurt and was like drinking maple syrup! (basically I gagged it down and talked myself out of throwing up!)

    Then in between the blood draws, I had to go to a "baby bound" class for first time parents... when the nurse started talking about poop colors and showing me pictures, I started gagging and had to have her turn them around... my gag reflex hasn't been where it should be since I've been pregnant! lol

    Mine was the same and I have a 4 1/2 year old, a 2 year old and now I'm 24 weeks along.  But this time they didn't have it chilled and only the fruit punch option - I hate fruit punch and usually ask for the orange.  I felt sick while drinking it.  Then the guy told me some drs let their patients eat jelly beans instead - no fair!!
