AW: We are going to start trying for #2!
I am not a regular poster on here, but I have got to get this out as many ways as I can without telling everyone I know! We are going to start TTC. We never did before as DS was a complete surprise (within 2 months of getting married, I got pregnant) so I have no idea what I am doing. Well, I do obviously, but not in reference to the fertility stuff. Duh.
I just have to get my Mirena out and then the fun begins! I am so happy, I really want two kids. I am still breastfeeding, but DS will be weaned within the next couple months. I hope we don't have much trouble with this. I want to be pregnant again sooo badly. I really loved every minute of it. I know I am fortunate with that and that my second may be a polar opposite, but I can't wait.
Okay, that's all. Thanks for reading. Anyone else trying for #2 already? Boy or girl or either? We really want a girl. And any advice/ helpful references if you have any! Thanks

Technically we've started trying again. I stopped taking BC over a month ago but I'm still breastfeeding and haven't gotten AF back yet. I'm not planning on weaning DS until he is a year, he still nurses 5 or 6 times a day. Plus DH is going to be away for work for a month in April/May so there won't be a lot of trying going on.
I am excited to have another baby but I'm ok if it takes a couple of months before I get pregnant again because I just got back into running and would like to run a couple of races this summer. It took 2 years to get pregnant with DS so I think it might take awhile again.

Thanks. Congratulations on you surprise pregnancy. That is what my first was like, although we have not had any fertility issues. I am sure you can handle 2U2. Pretend it is super easy. I am kind of worried about it. Ours might end up being that close together. Good luck to you in you pregnancy and with 2U2! I know you will love them both!

pretty much this. we used condoms only a handful of times. I did just get my first PP period, so I'm hopeful that #2 will be on his/her way soon!
We weren't trying for our LO either. She was a surprise, because I had fertility issues for a while and didn't even know if it was possible. We haven't decided to try for #2 yet. I want to wait at least a year, and be back down to pre-preg weight or lower before we start trying for another. I have the paragard that will need to be removed before we try again also. But, I wanted to comment because I totally know what you mean about wanting to be pregnant again! I loved it too and can't wait to do it again. I only really want 2 kids, but I wish I could feel as... not really "good"... but.... excited, happy, emotional.... as I did when I was pregnant all the time. I loved the way my body changed (even though the stretchmarks are terrible and I still have at least 20 pounds to loose! but I loved why it changed, so I loved that it changed.) and I loved feeling her move. I didn't have morning sickness or tiredness or anything and know that with the next I could, but I don't care either! lol

We are not actively TTC but we are not really TTA either. I went off the BCP in January and am charting, hoping my cycles will regulate. We plan to start trying in July.
