Taking my sons to yoga class, bad idea?

I'm trying to get back on track since I've been pushing it away for a while. Do you think it would be a bad idea to bring DSs? Any prior experiences, advice? TIA!

  • Unless they are the best-behaved, quietest kids ever, do not bring them to class.

  • Sorry, I would never bring my child to a yoga class. It would be very disrespectful to the rest of the class, not to mention distracting.

This.  It would be so rude and what would your sons do the whole time?! They'd end up bored and you'll probably get frustrated and have to leave early.  Don't do it.

  • No way would I even consider taking a young child to a yoga class (unless you're talking a Mommy & Me type yoga). As others have mentioned it would be disruptive to the other participants and our gym has strict rules about kids not being in any of the workout rooms.
  • not unless it's a specific class for kids..like a Mommy and Me

Personally, I'd be pissed if I paid $ to take a class and someone brought their kids. Just not the place for them.

  • does your gym have a "daycare center"? mine does, i thought most do. my son loves it. i would bring a child that young to yoga, he will most likely be bored in about 10 mins and start distracing everyone. my son does yoga & stretching w. me at home, and he only lasts a few minutes before he is on to something else. there is no way he'd last a whole class.
  • It would be pretty funny to see all the nasty looks you get if you did that though Huh?
