Weaning off BM @ 8 months - ?s

Hello ladies!

Question for those who've weaned their babies.  Mine aren't fans of formula.  The will take half BM/half formula and I figure that over time I'll simply have to increase the formual portion while decreasing the BM.  Just curious - did any of you go straight to cow's milk or did you wait until the one year mark?  Not sure how I should approach this transition.

    I am in the midst of weaning and they are going to straight formula in their bottles. I am waiting until they are 1 to introduce cow's milk, which I plan to do in a sippy cup so they get the whole new drink=new cup idea.

    I went from BM to formula, it took about 6 different types of formula until I found one that was as sensitive on their tummys as breast milk, and one that they liked the taste of. It can be a hard transition for babies, but I held off on cows milk until 1yr.

    No milk until 1 year. My girls didn't like formula, especially Alice. I found that the key was to make it really, really warm. She'll take formula if it's super warm. I suggested that to another mom on 6-12 and it worked for her, too. Maybe formula tastes better warm :)
