Multiples

Baby monitors?

What kind of monitors do people with multiples typically use?  I was thinking of getting this one with 2 cameras.  It switches every 8 seconds or so.  I was under the impression that i would be able to see them breathing but my friend thinks i am crazy.  They are expensive, so i want to know if it would be worth it.  I don't really know how sound monitors would work for multiples.

  • I don't know about that particular video monitor, but one of my biggest "gear" purchase regrets is opting for a sound monitor over a video monitor. I soooo wish I had a video monitor
TTC for 3 years. Finally successful after 5 IUIs and 2 cycles of IVF. Our amazing twins were born 5 weeks early on 8/16/11. Found out April 2012 that our di/di twins are ID.

we have the above with an extra camera. you can use up to 4 cameras if you wanted, they wall mount or table mount. the night vision is great, also has a light that gets red with sound incase you forget to turn up vol. you can "scan" and it flips between both cameras. we're very happy with it.

I agree - I so wish I had a video monitor - in terms of the sound monitor - we can tell who it is by their cries.

i think that Summers Infant also makes the cameras i mentioned.

  • We have the summer infant best monitor and love it. It pans and zooms so we didn't need an addional camera. Got mine at target for $149, on sale from $199
