For one in used but very good condition, as I'm assuming a 2011 model would be, I'd be willing to pay around $250. However, when I was looking for a used one a year ago, I found that for whatever reason there wasn't much of a resale market for the BJCM. The only ones on Craigslist were the ones that were basically new (and high priced) because they were barely used before people realized their older kid didn't like strollers anymore.
I ended up getting the 2010 model on closeout from albeebaby.com for $300 and am happy with my purchase. I'm sure it'll have good resale value when we're done with it.
Thanks! I came across one tonight. It is a 2011 model, only been used since November. They are wanting $300 for it though, so that's only 25% off the new price (granted it does come with the belly bar, which I know is additional).
I've had my eye on the BJCM and also the Joovy (the Joovy retails for $229 on Amazon). I'm thinking about just holding out and maybe getting the Joovy or see if I can find a good deal on albeebaby.com - I just found out about that site tonight!
Yeah, I read a lot of reviews of the BJCM and asked opinions on this board, and decided that the belly bar wasn't worth it. We've been using our stroller for almost a year now and I've never wished for it.
I love the stroller - it's our only stroller and it's great for everything we need it for. I would definitely recommend waiting for the sale on albeebaby unless you find a better deal on a used one (you can always try to negotiate with the seller). We got ours in April last year so I'm sure the 2011 models will be on sale soon if they aren't already.
ETA: just remembered that you do need the belly bar if you want the snack tray, I think. We generally don't do snacks in the stroller, so I've never missed it.
