Intro and question

Hi everyone,

I'm excited to finally post! My DH and I are currently starting our adoption journey. We've been down the road of IF treatments that did not turn out well. We had our orientation meeting a few weeks ago and just received our application in the mail today!  I can't wait to share this journey with you all.

 

My question is....has anybody not done the newborn adoption and went the older child adoption. At this point in our life we are open to a child that's up to 5 years old. Any feedback you can give on your journey?

    Welcome!  

    We are in the "waiting" phase.  Originally we were interested in only infant adoption, but our agency also does foster care  and adoption through foster care.  After completing all of the classes we decided we would also be open to adopting toddler out of the foster system.

    We've been waiting approx. 5 months.     I don't know if our child will come to us an infant or toddler, but I can't wait to meet him/her.
