Really need to vent, cry, scream, drink...
My wick is almost burned out today. DS, who is in tis really great tantrum phase right now, had school cancelled today because of snow so he is home today which is fine but our power has been out since 5:30 am which is when he decided to get up. He normally sleeps til 7:45. So no power and he (we) are going stir crazy. DH is out of town for work too. My other baby is teething and both have a bit of a stomach bug too. DS started throwing toys at the baby and I tried to give him a time out which normally works (we use 123 magic) but he now just runs away and hides like its a game. I about lost my mind with him. I started yelling and grabbed him/carried him to his room and slammed the door. Now I feel like a giant a$$hole. Thing is this behavior with DS1 has been going on for a few weeks and I try to be consistent with discipline, etc. but it just continues. And to make it worse this weather just plain SUCKS here. It will not stop raining or snowing and I cant get DS out for fresh air as much as I would like to. I know I sound like Debbie Downer right now but I feel like pulling every hair out. I just want this day to be over with
ETA I just looked outside and I have 4 trees that fell in the backyard. Awesome

Hang in there, everyone has bad days. Can you do something fun to distract him? Maybe make a fort or something? Any arts and crafts you can do to keep him happy?
My ds loves to mash up bananas and milk, and whatever other 'ingredients' i have around like marshmallows. I give him a big pot with all the stuff at the kitchen table and he goes to town. Its messy and gross, but sometimes i just don't care!
