What do you have on your DC's windows?

We have blinds. I don't dislike them, but would like to add curtains/drapes with them. DH is against it. My problem is that I worry with going with full length curtains (the hiding behind, sticky fingers, etc.).

What do you have? Blinds? Floor length curtains? Short curtains to the window sill? Nothing? A blanket? Stick out tongue

Bonus if you can PIP.

  • We have top down/bottom up cellular blackout shades in all of the bedrooms.  In DD's room, we also have blackout window sill length curtains.  The curtains used to be in her nursery as well and so I went with the shorter length so there would be less pulling on them when she was younger.

  • In all three of the kids' rooms we have a blackout roller shade and then curtains. DD#1's is kind of a drawstring curtain with ties (just one panel that you can tie up on each side if that makes sense. DD#2's is a set of two panels from Land of Nod and DS' is just a set of navy panels that I think I got at JCP or WalMart or something.

Oh and I should add that DD#2 did have a quilt up underneath her curtains until a couple weeks ago when my dad visited and finally put her shade up!

  • We have top down/bottom up black out cellular shades in each of the girls rooms. On top, we have valances that coordinate with their bedding. I think it finishes it off with out being too much. I didn't want to do floor length curtains because they would play with/pull on them and there is a vent right there as well so I didn't want to block it.
