Iplay brand swimsuit sizing?

Anyone know whether they run large or small? I want to buy my 3 month old (50% for weight) a suit for the summer but I heard they run small so choosing a size is harder than it should be. 6 month size or 12 month?

Re: Iplay brand swimsuit sizing?

  • I don't know about their swim suits, but I use their reusable swim diapers and I love them! I always tend to go down a size w them bc I am paranoid that if he actually ever does go, I want that stuff held in there tight. No margin of space around the legholes, kwim? They snap down the side so they are easy to put on and take off even if they are on the small side. Also, they are slightly padded, so there is some absorbency if they pee btwn putting the diaper on and getting to the pool. I can get himm dressed before we leave and not worry about the carseat, which is easier than getting him changed at the pool.

  • We've only used the iPlay swim diaper, but that runs true to size. We have a size XL (25-30 lbs) that I bought for swimming lessons back in August. I think Charlotte was right around 25 lbs at the time. It fit her fine then, and it still fits her now at about 28 lbs.

  • We have the Iplay swim diapers and tankinis.  I just go by the weight, but not height chart.  (DD is only in the less than 10th Percentile for weight, but over 50% in height).  I honestly would wait to see how much your LO weighs in June, and go with either a 3 month or 6 month size, depending on her weight, but not 12 (unless of course she's in that weight bracket).  I haven't found the suits to run big.
