Recommend you summer wardrobe staples

I know there has been some talk about spring/summer fashions, but I am wondering what are your summer wardrobe staple items AND where do you get them? Who has the cutest T's and tanks? Where do you buy your go-to flip flops or sandals? Please share!

I'm interested in seeing the responses, as well. I haven't been buying myself clothes hardly at all since I have been TTC, but at this point, it's been almost a year and I am not pregnant--so I am ready to feel good about my clothes again!!!

I'm not a fashionista by any means, I get capris, tanks, t shirts, maxi dresses and sundresses. Flip flops are also a must, casual ones and dressy ones.

I usually get stuff from Old Navy, Target, Kohls, Ann Taylor, Macy's, New York and Company.

I am the least fashionable person ever so I shouldnt comment. lol.

I love long dresses and flip flops from old navy.

Yoga pants/capris from target. Lots of fitted ts/tanks from anywhere. I think one of my fav shirts comes from the walmart junior department. LOL

I wear jersey dresses from Gap, JCrew, Target and Anthropologie and Havaiana flip flops almost every day. At night, I get a little fancier, but it's usually just flat sandals and jewelry added to the same dresses I wear during the day. I love Old Navy and Gap tanks. I have a million in black, navy and gray...seriously like a million. Or 30.

Go for it!! I am 3 years in for TTC and I have felt so much better about myself once I started really wearing nice stuff again.

I do a lot of t-shirts and skorts (from Athleta or an athetic store). Te skorts help me feel a little put together but I can still sit on the ground and play.

I am a HUGE jeans, tees, tank tops, and hoodies person. That is all I wear EVER, but this last weekend my mom, sisters and I went summer clothes shopping. My mom talked me into some denim bermudas and some REALLY comfy capris from JCP. They are AWESOME! I haven't ever had anything as comfortable as those capris, they move with you and give in all the right places. I spent about a 120 bucks and got 5 outfits. I love JCP's tank tops. I'll still have to live in pants and long sleeve shirts A LOT this summer, but at least when we do go out I will have something I am comfortable in and some variety.

I like to wear dresses in the summer because they look pulled together but couldn't be easier. I got some at kohls for $8. I pretty much wear them out and throw them away after the season. I just wear them with sandals. I buy them kinda loose so even if you are ttc, you could wear them a while. I also wear skirts with t shirts.

Oooh, I like the dresses suggestion. I'm too short to wear maxi dresses but some nice knee-ish length might me nice and accommodating if I (hopefully!) get pregnant soon. Of course, in Seattle you can't really wear sun dresses until July without getting cold!

I pretty much try to have shorts in every basic color, like khaki, army green, black, and navy blue, and 2 pairs of denim shorts. I like to wear those with tanks or tshirts. I love Ann Taylor Loft shorts, they are such great quality and comfy. I also love old navy sun dresses and comfy skirts. Half the time I will be in gym shorts and tanks, or bathing suit, as it is so hot here I could care less about wearing anything too nice.

Last summer, I was really pregnant so I am so excited to wear my summer clothes from the year before, almost like new clothes for me again.

I wear rib knit tank tops, t-shirts, jeans and capris if I'm feeling brave. I like the tees, tanks, and jeans from Gap. I'm really boring with clothes anymore though.

I always get my flip flops at the local Surf shops.

My favorite summer thing is a cheapo cotton dress that I got at Target. It's strapless with elastic around the top and it functions as the perfect bathing suit cover-up. I can just step in and out of it, which so much easier than dealing with shorts at the beach! Plus it's black like my bathing suit, so the straps just look like part of the dress.

ETA: I also wear my regular jeans rolled into cuffs just bellow the knee.

Target online has tons of really cute and simple dresses. I'm thinking about getting one or two and then I'm searching for a long, flowy, white skirt to wear with all my solid tees and tanks. I didn't get any new flip flops last summer so I'm in need... planning on getting a couple cheap pairs at gordmans. They always have tons and always ver cute and inexpensive. Then I pretty much wear capris or Bermuda shorts and solid tees and tanks. I'm super simple! I do have one cute little shrug and thinking about getting a light cardigan to make outfits a bit more dressy as needed.

In the past I have always done jeans and nicer tshirts. Last year I invested in more skirts. This year after your recommendations I was really wanting to get some dresses until I realized that it's next to impossible to nurse in most dresses. I am uber bummed! I do love that old navy dress though and had it in my cart already!!

i love this dress but I'm very short waisted and it didnt look right on me. I'm also short 5`2 so Maxi dresses are hard to find that my mom can hem to make short enough for me. I live in tanks, Ts, yoga type capris, and cheer shorts. I have Reef leather flip flops($40 but will last forever) I also have my TOMS
