Hi Ladies! I love to go walking during my lunch break when it's nice out, which seems to be alot lately

I walk about 2 miles at a reasonable pace. I always have my cell phone with me. I just started wondering last night when I should stop walking alone incase something were to happen? My pregnancy is normal without complications. Am I good to go until I get to maybe 36 weeks or should I stop earlier and just go to the gym where I know other people will be around?
Re: Walking Alone.. when to stop
This exactly
Ditto. Now that I am overdue I am a little more cautious about going places alone, but as long as you have your phone you'll be fine.

I walked with and without DH until the morning I went to LD and gave birth to DD at 39w2d
I walk alone during this pregnancy too because sometimes DH doesn't feel like walking. I plan on walking until it is time to have this baby. Just keep a phone with you and know where you are walking.
I wouldn't go farther then you would feel comfortable walking back while contracting.
for sure keep a cell phone on you. But yeah, agree with PP, I wouldn't stop.
I wouldn't stop till you were in the hospital bed with your knee's up to your ears. They say even when you go into labor it's best to keep moving till you can't.
ETA: not sure if everyone sees the same birthing video in birth class, but the one I saw (it was SO f'ing dumb) this lady goes into labor and her and her hubs go "for a walk" but they show them hiking in the hills/mt's. Come on! Yes, keep walking. No, do not go for a hike IMO.
also, am I the only one who is totally waddling already? I have no walk left, it's full on waddle waddle.
I plan to keep walking until I deliver. Right now I walk on a rather secluded trail in the woods behind my house, and my husband recently brought up he's uncomfortable with me continuing to walk there, which I totally understand. So I'm switching my walks to a low-traffic side street and always bringing my cellphone with me. I see no problem with that.
If something unexpected happens I figure as long as dh or an emergency vehicle can get to my location there's no difference between waiting for them on the road vs waiting at home.

I still walk, and never really thought about stopping for any reason besides "i physically cannot walk any more"!! Walking has certainly become more uncomfortable, with hip/back aches and the constant urge to pee. But I can still walk.
I usually walk to the beach, in our neighbourhood, to and from my train etc. so there are people around. Sometimes I go in the woods with the dog alone but even then I'm so close to home I don't see an issue.
I agree that if you have a cell phone then keep walking. I'm currently 39 weeks and will still go on walks that last an hour or more. The only rule I have is to sit when I start to feel tired and go home if I feel crampy atal.
I always carry my cell- making sure its fully charged. Now that I'm farther along I time by walks by other people. For example- if its in the morning time I'll call my mother or sister to see if theyll be in town awhile. Or if its the evening I'll call my father-in-law to make sure he's around. That way even if something does happen, I know I'm only a phone call and ten minutes away from help.
