What do you do with an expired infant carseat? Need o get rid of it!

I just keep our old carseats and trade them in when Babies R Us has the trade-in event. That way I can get a discount on something new.

Yes, they take expired stuff. Otherwise call your recycling center or a children's hospital for option on what to do with it. If those places don't do anything, cut the straps, and hit it with a sledge hammer to break the shell and put it out for the trash (so no one picks if from the curb to use).

Yep, they do it I think twice a year. I think for each thing you turn in you get a 25% off coupon for another item. I took in two expired carseats around September and used the two coupons to buy two new carseats.

bru does trade-ins a few times a year. if you want to throw it out, cut the straps before putting it in the trash so that no one can take it and use it.

This. I used one of my 25% off coupons to buy a Britax Frontier. Save $75 that way, and I felt good knowing that the seat would be off the market.
